Chasing Cars - Trolleys and Antique Cars

Time for the bridal party to get to the museum!  This might have been my favorite part of the whole day.  Me, my newly-minted husband, and our closest friends.  All stuck together, in the same place, and the same time.

We pulled up to the museum, dismissed the bridal party to enjoy the cocktail hour, and Matt and I went around the museum to get some couple portraits.

This was so awkward

Our reception was at the Antique Auto Museum.  Part of the reason we chose that as our venue is because both of our dads are into antique cars.  My dad owns a 1972 Porsche 911.  And Matt's dad built an old Dodge Charger from the ground up.  Neither one of us can remember the year, but it's old.  My dad didn't drive his car to the reception, but Matt's dad did.

We headed inside for a few more pictures.

In the meantime, our guests were busy milling around the museum and enjoying cocktail hour.  The museum is a really cool place to have an event, and we had so many compliments from our guests about not being bored during the cocktail hour.  [the next 7 photos are from our guests]

Just at the end of cocktail hour, we gathered all of our guests together for a big group photo.  The semantics of this could be a logistical nightmare, but we put out signs by the escort cards noting the time and location of the group photo, and we also had the DJ make an announcement to remind everyone to get there.  I'm so glad we got this photo.

Chasing Cars - The Boys Arrive

The girls were hidden away in our classroom, so it was time for the boys to arrive.  The trolley pulled up and the boys tumbled out, dressed in their fine brown tuxes.  I am so so glad we went with the brown tuxes.  Every time I look at the pictures, I am in love with the look.

After getting off the trolley, our moms helped the guys put their boutonnieres on.  The bouts were hand-made by my mom and BM Abriel's mom, Melinda.  They were peacock feathers with rust ribbon; Matt's had a white button mum to distinguish his.

Once the boutonnieres were attached, Matt took some pictures with his parents and brothers.

Then it was time for the boys to pose!

They finished up their pictures and headed into the church.  Time to get ready for the ceremony!

Chasing Cars - Taking a Ride

After our portraits at the hotel, us girls piled into the trolley and took a ride over the church for more pictures.

The hotel was located in the parking area for the museum (our reception venue), so one of the girls snapped a photo of the museum's sign...

The photographers didn't ride over with us, but that doesn't mean the ride wasn't well-documented!

I had managed to remain composed for most of the day so far.  Until...

Yup.  I totally had a moment on the trolley ride.  All of a sudden, the day was very real.  I was getting married!

We arrived at the church and took a few more fun pictures.
